Every Tuesday I'm going to post my top-5 NFL teams and why. So lets get started
1) New England Patriots (10-2) - Since losing to Cleveland in week 9, They've put up 30+ points each week, and this weeks 45-3 dismantling of the Jets moved them to my number 1 spot. It's hard to count these guys out with Brady at the helm, and he's only getting better as the last few weeks progress.
2) Atlanta Falcons (10-2) - These guys just keep finding ways to win. 6-game winning streak, the last five against teams 6-6 or better. There are three things you can count on: Death, Taxes, and Matt Ryan driving down the field in the 4th Quarter for either a come back drive or a go-ahead drive.
3) Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3) - Tying the Season series against the Ravens in week 13 move these guys back into the top 3. Like Atlanta, their wins might not be the prettiest, but they are still winning. Is there a better Safety than Troy Polamalu?
4) New Orleans Saints (9-3) - Five Straight wins for the defending Superbowl Champions keeps them on pace with Atlanta in the NFC South. Their toughest part of the schedule is coming up: home against St. Louis, at Baltimore, at Atlanta, and home against the Bucs. Can they keep the high power offense up?
5) Chicago Bears (9-3) - Jay Cutler looks like the right guy for the job in Chicago. And judging by this weeks firing of Josh McDaniels, he was the right guy in Denver. He's finally got a defense that can keep him in the games and let him stick around for the win.
